The Artist

Hi, I'm Frank Mwamba; artist, illustrator, book author and designer of this site. I started with art at a very early age, as early as three. Influenced by my dad, art became a hobby at an early stage. Born in Congo and raised in South Africa, my surrounding always had an influence on my works. I and my brothers would draw all day long as kids, inspired by TV shows, cartoons, movies and comic books that we liked.

Now Based in Australia, Melbourne as a self established artist, I still have the passion. Producing classic fine art and using tools from the traditional oil on canvas to the modern digital art. As an author I've published a graphic novel series ‘Streetwise League' an action and humour comic book based on street soccer. I'm just a little too versatile in art, and my style ranges from portraiture to landscape.

For inspiration, I look up to nature and the old renaissance masters. I disagree with the modern day sayings that art is all about ‘controversy', In my perspective, art is about inspiration, aspiration and showing other fellow beings the true potential of the creative ability in a person ;and that there's nothing as ‘impossible' especially in the field of creativity and talent.
